I’m definitely starting to see hints that Autumn is in full swing. Trees are already starting to turn, leaves are beginning to fall, and the days are getting shorter. That last part I don’t like too much. I love when it stays light until 9 p.m., but other than that, I love Autumn, and I have to say September is my favorite month of the year.
I haven’t shown pictures of our home in NY much because most all my projects take place at our weekend home, but here’s a tablescape I set up in our dining room. My favorite element are the glasses, which I purchased from PierOne, one of my favorite stores.
We’re shifting gears (and locales) and we’re in Massachusetts now. This is a decidedly more rustic tablescape, which I put together on the fly with things I had lying around.
The addition of some candles, a pitcher, and slightly different napkins in the bowl.
Here’s a tablescape my friend Cheryl shared. This is a great high impact/low cost centerpiece. Using fruits and/or vegetables in bright, seasonal colors is always a smart move.
This branch turned into a tea light candle holder is a super easy project that costs basically nothing. See ‘how-to’s’ here.
Cozying up on the porch with some wine and cheese…
I love the cheerfulness of Black Eyed Susans, and I won that lovely hanging plant in the background a few weeks ago!

Hi Doreen,
O.k. where do I start? I loooooove your autumn tables cape. Love the colors, your arrangement and I especially love the tree branch tea light holder. How you have it staged on your coffee table is perfection. Love it all, especially the wine and cheese part hehe : )

Thank you Leanne! Autumn is such an easy season to decorate inexpensively. Just one of the many reasons I love it!

Oh, these tablescapes make me want to dive into a glass of hot apple cider and/or mulled wine.
Beautifully done and so cozy!
