Are you thinking about Valentine’s Day yet? Usually I don’t pay too much attention to that holiday, at least not as far as decorating is concerned. I had some projects I had wanted to take care of at the cabin, but it seems the Universe was conspiring against me this weekend (I’ll tell you all about it another time). So today I decided to put together a sweet little tablescape that I was transferring to the community clubhouse for their tables after these photos were taken. I used what I had on hand, and some of the materials I even got for free. Can’t beat that!
The vases are covered with some sweater sleeves and I made some ribbon and fabric flowers. I hope to show you the ‘how to’ soon for those.
I love gingham, and if it’s in red all the better.
Just because the table is in a rustic cabin, doesn’t mean it can’t have a little bling, right? I have tons of buttons and broaches that I purchased but am not using for my daughter’s bouquet, so I figured I would put them to good use.
You probably didn’t notice, but none of the pictures are watermarked.
Actually, there’s a reason for that and I won’t bore you with the details, but let’s just say it has something to do with my new Mac. Their photo software doesn’t seem to have a ‘text’ option, plus I can’t seem to download Adobe Flash for PicMonkey because I can’t remember my password even though I know the ‘hint’, and it looks like it wouldn’t be a good idea right now to reset it. Soooooo, I’m going to wait until Tuesday when I have an appointment at Apple and maybe they can help. In the meantime, if you have any tips I’m all ears.
I heard on the radio today that one of the ways you can keep your brain sharp is to try to do things you’re not comfortable doing. At this rate, I’m gonna be sharp as a tack.

Wow that is great customer service! I have 2 Macs and I have never had any trouble with either one of them. My husband worked for Dell for 5 years and went through about a dozen computers. You will get use to it and never go to a PC again. 🙂

That’s what I’ve heard Christen. So much to learn, but it keeps those brain cells moving 😉

What a sweet surprise, indeed, to see such a beautifully put together tablescape for Valentine’s Day! I’ve never seen anything quite like this red and white gathering of vases, snuggled in tiny, winter white sweaters, accessorized in pearly gems and dainty little ribbons; they are sure to be the belles of the ‘ball’, at which they are destined to be delivered, by their equally enchanting creator!
You are so talented, my friend!
