If you’re a crafter, you know there is NO SUCH THING as too much storage. It’s just not possible. Especially if you dauble in different types of crafts such as quilting (all that fabric!), scrapbooking, sewing, painting, stained glass, etc. Recently I redid my craft room and incorporated some of these ideas and I’m lovin’ it! It’s so much more functional and makes working in there a pleasure. You can check that post out here.
This first storage idea is one of those that actually looks better in theory than in practice, but I thought I would inclue it anyway because I’m using something similar and it’s working out well. The issue I have with this is if it’s ‘on display’, the ribbons will start to look messy as they’re used because they have no choice but to ‘flop around’, but if you have this in a closet, or if you don’t mind the messy look, go for it! It really does hold quite a lot of ribbon in a small space.
This idea makes good use of the often under utilized area of any home…the inside of the cabinet doors.
I appreciate storage solutions that do double duty. This cute little cart holds scissor, pencils, etc., but also houses some files below.
I love this! Items that are easy to pick up and go are great, and I love anything that repurposes an item into something different.
This idea is one I utilized to the hilt in my craft room. I’m thinking I should have used this green color too. Love it!
This is an idea that kills two birds with one stone. If you don’t mind having something on your window like this, it could be a great low cost solution. I used a see thru shoe holder and put it on the back of my door. It comes in really handy and puts that space behind the door to good use.
Yes, this is a great space. But the truth is I included this picture only because I love this chair. How cute is that??!

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. Put a tool holder over a bucket and you’ve got an item that can hold a lot of stuff in a relatively small space.

Who says a shower caddy has to only be used in the shower? If you have a tight corner that’s going to waste, this is a great solution.
Line a drawer with some pretty paper and put some notions in cute dishes. It will make you smile every time you open the drawer.
I hope you’re inspired to try some of these ideas! Believe me, it will make a huge difference in how you function and create.

Love, love, love all things craft rooms and the mix of pink, orange and greens are so happy. Repurposing storage for crafty items is a great excuse to buy “containers” thanks for sharing, wish I could “skadoo” right into the post!
