I’ve had these pictures for months now, but never got around to showing you, but while at Haven and sitting around at lunch, the question came up that is near and dear to any woman who loves to shop (which pretty much is about 90% of us). The question was ‘if you had to shop at one store and one store only for your home, and you had to furnish your entire home, what store would that be’?
My immediate, knee jerk response was HomeGoods. Some other responses were Pottery Barn, Ballards and Restoration Hardware. Then I asked the question ‘is money an object’? The answer was NOPE so my answer was quick to change from HomeGoods to Lillian August.
Here’s an interesting chandy, perfect for a beach house.
Some more cool beachy type accessories that are loads of fun and could be an easy diy project to try.
I like the use of three large chandy’s together, but individually they could make a statement as well.
That’s my friend Kathy admiring the many cute things on display in this girl’s room which manages to be both feminine and on trend.
I know these chairs may not appeal to everyone, but I love them! They make such a statement, and I can attest to the fact that they’re super comfy.
This table is a stunner! I love the mix of modern and rustic and pairing a metal table top with a more rustic base and chairs is such a cool look.
What’s your opinion on animal prints? I like them, but since I’m a huge animal lover, I prefer faux, although I do have the real thing at the cabin as a rug.
I noticed a couple of art pieces featuring horses that were quite nice. I also like the use of the yellow sofa in this space.
Here’s an unexpected use of color that works. Green, blue and yellow come together to form an elegant space with loads of character.
Have you seen the projects on Pinterest featuring corks? Makes me wish I saved mine all these years…
Lunch with my bestie at this cool Italian restaurant topped off our nearly perfect day (it would have been perfect if I walked out with some furniture) 😉
What’s your favorite store?

Great pictures! I have to admit, I’d never heard of that store (I’m I totally out of the loop, or what?!)!! I think I could find a thing or two, though, that I couldn’t live without!!~~Ang

Hi Doreen,
It was wonderful meeting you and chatting with you at Haven! I have never shopped at a Lillian August store but I have seen their advertisements. I would totally love to go in one and DROOL! I especially liked the chandy with the rope wrapped around it. It would make a good DIY project (if someone had a lot of patience!)

I thought the same thing about that chandy too Jane! Great minds…
I’m trying to catch up with all the blogs from Haven! I came up to our weekend place early to get some peace and quiet and have the time to do that. Baby steps.
Loved meeting you and Leo! He’s a riot :).
