So here it is. The long awaited planter. You remember last week when I stumbled upon an awesome rummage sale that wasn’t quite ready for its close up? Well, I saw a few things I wanted but since they weren’t for sale yet (and I didn’t have an SUV anyway) it wasn’t happening. The next day I recruited a friend with an SUV but we couldn’t get there until the afternoon so pretty much everything I wanted was gone already. We were almost ready to leave empty handed when this little cutie was spotted. I took it home only $19 poorer. Not bad for solid wood. No paint for this baby. I’m leaving it as is. Just a sealing treatment for outdoors and it’s good to go.
There’s lot of possibilities for a piece like this. Towels in the bathroom, quilts in the bedroom maybe. And since it’s not every day you see a piece like this at a rummage sale, I think I’m happier to have this then the original items I wanted anyway.
The flowers, a combination of dahlias, begonias and a calendula, were picked up at Meadow View Farm, one of my favorite places to visit this time of year.
So what do you think?
