Hey there! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, and if you’re a Mom, a great Mother’s Day. It was a beautiful day here in NY today so I decided to explore parts of the neighborhood with my camera in tow and took some pics of some of the houses I found particularly appealing.
What I love about this neighborhood is no two houses are alike. There’s pretty much something for everyone, whether you prefer classic colonials, tudors, cape cods or anything in between. I love homes that have a European feel, such as this pretty colonial with french blue shutters. Doesn’t it look like it belongs in Provence?
This sweet little blue cape looks so charming, doesn’t it?
Love the whitewashed brick on this cute little house.
The landscaping surrounding this house is impeccable!
There’s something about stone houses that I really love. They have such a sense of permanency.
Ok, so this isn’t a house, but you know I had to include him.
Doesn’t this house epitomize Americana?
White picket fence? Yes, please.
I wonder how old this gorgeous tree is?
At the end of the day, we went to dinner at a beautiful mansion! It had a gorgeous view of the Hudson. I only had my cell phone for pics, but I think you get the idea.
Do you have a favorite?

Thanks as always Angela for stopping by! That’s actually not my pooch. Just a cutie I spotted along the way.
I just noticed the mansion is sideways! It wasn’t like that when I hit publish! What’s up with that?! I’m gonna delete it for now while I head out to Zumba ;).
Have a great day!

How lucky you are to live in such a beautiful neighbourhood! Stone houses, for me, are pure storybook prettiness! I know one thin:g if I lived in such an enchanting place, I would certainly be 20 lbs lighter, from all the endless and enjoyable walks! Ahhh…to dream! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by Poppy! Your comment went to spam and I don’t always check it as often as I should. BTW, it’s funny you said that because I’m jealous of where YOU live! I guess the grass is always greener 😉
