Many of you followed along with the recent story of my ancestors, ‘Two Brothers From Bari’, that was written by my cousin many years ago. The following is a ‘thank you’ that he wanted to pass on to you all.
I would like to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all of Doreen’s readers for your wonderful and kind words concerning my little narrative ‘Two Brothers From Bari’. I am so happy that you enjoyed the story of the two Sorgente brothers, and it humbles me to know that I reached so many of you on a level that made you think of your own families’ histories and stories that went around the table during holiday gatherings.
As a writer, to know that you have touched your reader in such a way is one of the primary goals of writing. And most of all, I’d like to thank my cousin Doreen for getting me to dust off the pages of my story after nearly 40 years and revising them for all to see. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane for me as well as for her, I am sure, and I got to reconnect with my cousin, Doreen, after nearly 30 years.
Family is everything. We are what we came from.
Thank you.

How nice of you to have thanked us! Your story is unique. So rare that families have this kind of in depth written history. It read like a good novel.
Thank you, Doreen for letting us read it.

Doreen, I’ve finally taken the time to read the story in full. What a great piece of family history! My maternal grandfather’s family came over from Poland. I don’t know if my mom or any of her siblings have that story written anywhere, but now I want to find out. 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing, and Merry Christmas!
