I’ve posted about Brimfield a few times since I started blogging two years ago. I hope I’m not boring you! I guess I just feel it’s one of the coolest antique fairs ever and I want to encourage EVERYONE to attend at least once. The fair happens three times a year, in May, July and September and usually lasts for 6 days. Vendors come from all over the country and there’s truly something for everyone, so let’s get to it!
I know I’m not the only one who has a thing for antique cash registers, and this one is a beauty!
And what do you think about this stove? I’m pretty sure it still works too!
I thought this swing made entirely from wood slabs was clever, and it would go perfectly in the yard at the cabin!
This was one of my favorite pieces of the day. I love the colors and fabric choices, and I could totally see this in a little girl’s room. How pretty!
I know some of you probably know what this is, but I don’t. All I know is these pieces were super expensive!
How cute is this little ‘toy’ fridge?
Another one of my favorite upholstered pieces. Don’t you just love this?
Although this is a chandelier, I envision it as a crown for some well deserving diy’er 😉
Less than two weeks now to the wedding! Yesterday we went to NY for Maddox’s 4th birthday, then met up with friend’s for dinner. We didn’t get home till 2 a.m. but it’s looking like a lovely day so I’m up early and I think I’ll work on the cabinet outside. Our daughter’s flying in today and Tuesday I’m heading to Manhattan for her fitting, then we’ll be back in NY next weekend for Mikey’s 11th birthday, then again the following Thursday for the rehearsal dinner and we’ll stay down there until after the wedding. I think we’re spending more time in NY now then when we lived there :/.

Brimfield is brimming with beautiful treasures! I love every piece you featured, especially the very French inspired settee – so simultaneously elegant and earthy! The pretty, pink based armchair is fairy tale fab, and yes, it would be every little girl’s dream. I am impressed by all the great variety of merchandise; it must have been so neat to visit all the different vendors!
Doreen, how excited you must be with your daughter’s wedding fast approaching! I remember several months back, when you posted about possible mother-of-the-bride dresses and asked for our opinion. And now, the special day is almost here. I wonder what you chose! One thing I do know, you will be absolutely beautiful in it!
Have a blast in the big apple! Happy birthday to Maddox!

Oh- I would love to come and walk that market. I have a very similar old stove but I keep it outside on my patio and we use it to store our BBQ tools in and I have POTS of flowers growing on the burners.
Oh-yes- and I se the wedding is coming up. I bet you are getting very excited! xo Diana

Doreen this looks like a great place to visit. Love that sofa, so pretty and the swing would be perfect for the cabin. You would’ve needed a very large truck to get that baby home.

You have a whirlwind of a few weeks coming up…enjoy! 🙂

I read a book once on antiques. The author was an expert on small furniture and swore the only place to find the largest assortment of the oldest antiques in the US is on the east coast. Brimfield may have even been mentioned. Now as for that swinging wooden chair, it looks like it’s at the perfect angle for someone to swing and nod off in on a lazy summer day, ahem. Sounds like all is going well with the wedding plans and how ironic that you are spending so much time in NY, but I’ll bet you are enjoying it!

I don’t know if that’s true, but I guess it makes sense Amy. The east coast, in particular the New England area, has a rich, unique history. Brimfield most likely was mentioned. There are few fairs like it, and there are soooooo many antiques it would make your head spin.

Wow! Awesome fair! I don’t know what those green pieces are, but they’re gorgeous. Too bad they’re so expensive. :/
